The first thing you must have when building a roller coaster is the proper software. Without it, you can’t make a roller coaster. There are a lot of games for theme parks but none of them are realistic with the exception of 1.
The software program called NoLimits Coaster 2 is a roller coaster simulator that comes with a very powerful editor that lets you design roller coaster with true physics. This program is used by real life roller coaster designers to simulate what their design will look and act like.
It is very user friendly. You just drag around the nodes to place your track and select what type of segments they should be. You can choose to build pretty much any type of roller coaster you have in mind. Anything from a launched ride to a traditional chain lift. The possibilities are endless and you’ll find just about every real roller coaster track and train in NoLimits Coaster 2.
NL2 comes with 2 license options, Standard and Professional. You can get away with the Standard license to do pretty much everything. The pro license however lets you render videos without their watermark and you can use it for commercial intent. I would recommend the Professional license if you have the $99 for it, if not, you can stick with the Standard license for $45.
In the editor, you can import 3b objects which can use to theme the ride experience. You can have tunnels, fog, special light effects, trees, water splashes and so much more. There’s a website where creations done in NoLimits Coaster 2 are shared on and there you will find a lot of creativity people have put into their designs. The site Im talking about is linked here. You can make a free account and download their completed designs and check them out in the simulator.
If you’re going to stick around to follow this website, then you are going to have to get your hands on NoLimits Coaster 2. Without it, you wont be able to follow along and wont be able to build out the roller coaster you design with it. Therefore, go on and pick up a copy right now!
